As a sub-contractor for RACV, Johns Lyng Group is responsible for delivering emergency building works and attending to property damages, including flood and fire damage. Though their jobs are very hands-on, the team was looking to digitalise certain parts of the process in the hope to improve speed and efficiency. After consulting with Appscore, we worked with the company to come up with a solution that meant they could better assign, manage and record jobs while working to tight time restraints.
To save time and money on assigning construction jobs
The Johns Lyng Group was concerned that their traditional job allocation procedures were costing them thousands of unnecessary dollars every month. A lot of time was being wasted on assigning tasks to contractors, only for them to arrive at the site without the required equipment or full capabilities for the job. Ultimately, the company wanted to find a way to cut back on these expenses and better streamline their approach to jobs.
Digitalising the job allocation method
Appscore created an iPad workforce empowerment app that meant the company could rely on a paperless system. With our job allocation app, contractors can be assigned jobs, view relevant information, insert their own information (such as materials used in the job), and invoice customers.
