As pearls are continually threatened by overfishing and pollution, Paspaley seek to discover, extract and preserve some of the most precious, natural and magnificent pearls from across the globe. While providing customers with an immaculate shopping experience at their diamond and pearl boutiques throughout Australia, Paspaley desired a seamless online shopping experience to suit.

Appscore created a custom-built eCommerce platform and web design, which is fully responsive across all platforms and devices. Online customers are now provided the exclusive opportunity to personalise their own jewellery using a step-through choices tool, while provided recommendations based on their purchasing behaviour.

This new platform boasts user-friendly navigation, and also postulates a customised shopping experience to suit the individual journey of each customer. With this new and enhanced platform, customers can view product lists based on their filtering preferences, make bookings and consultations, receive updates, special promotions and more.

The Challenge

While a leading jeweller offline, Paspaley were unable to offer shoppers a personalised experience online. Paspaley had no analytics or digital tracking, were using primitive methods to display data from an unintegrated CRM, and users were faced with far too many options.

Our major challenge was to create a website that emulated Paspaley as a luxury retailer with a rich history and an opulent product range, while also engaging customers as soon as they visit the homepage.

The client’s e-commerce website was previously on Shopify, Appscore built Paspaley a brand-new website on Magento with full API integration to AX. This showcases an all-new design with enhanced functionality, providing customers with a visually-stunning, personalised and seamless user experience.

The new platform allows the client to easily manage their stock and inventory as it connects their customer database, orders and products to the website. Users are provided with an engaging and trustworthy purchasing process, a custom piece creator and augmented stories, at the same time as defining the luxuriant brand that is Paspaley.

First thing’s first, Appscore became familiar with Paspaley. We started off by asking Paspaley to draw a detailed sitemap. We then grasped the ideal placement for text and imagery, before creating detailed briefs. We then executed the following:

  • Set design sprints to efficiently create workflows and tasks for different features.
  • Migrate from Shopify to Magento with full API integration to AX.
  • Build a luxury website fitting for a luxury brand; seamless, personalised and innovative.
  • Create a customised jewellery selection tool with special emphasis on the user experience.
  • Fulfil all key development tasks to ensure complete brand definition.
  • Test site functionality and all elements, ensure the website is absolutely bug-free and that the user experience is not compromised in any way…
